Of course we’ll cover the announcement. Personally I’m expecting a larger sized battery, to compete with Anker’s 7kWh Solarbank MAX, but we’ll have to wait and see what Ecoflow has planned.
Pecron Europe just announced availability of the F1000 LFP model to the subscribers of their newsletter.
Unlike its larger sibling, the F3000 LFP, this unit cannot have its capacity expanded with additional batteries. But it compensates this with great capabilities and an attractive design at a quite affordable price. Including current discounts, the F1000 LFP starts at just €439. If you take into account that this battery offers 960 Wh (so nearly 1 kWh) and an inverter that outputs 1500 Watt, this is a steal.
The F1000 LFP even comes with a UPS function, though their site currently does not state the exact switchover time needed.
All in all the F1000 LFP will make a great emergency backup or camping companion. Now we’ll just have to find out how it performs in real-life situations…
After making waves at CES 2025, the powerful new Bluetti Apex 300 is officially available for backing on Indiegogo. Designed for high-demand users who need serious off-grid or backup power, the Apex 300 packs impressive performance into a sleek, portable unit.
At its core is a massive 2764Wh LiFePO₄ battery, offering up to 6000 charge cycles before reaching 80% capacity—ensuring years of reliable use. With a maximum output of 3840 watts, it’s capable of powering everything from heavy-duty tools to essential home appliances with ease.
One standout feature is its UPS mode with 0 ms switchover, meaning your devices stay powered seamlessly during outages. Whether you’re prepping for emergencies, living off-grid, or just need reliable portable power, the Apex 300 delivers.
Early backers on Indiegogo can take advantage of exclusive launch pricing, making now the best time to secure this next-generation power station.
Anker released a few new power station in the last months, but one of the most intriguing ones for me personally is the C300 DC.
The Anker Solix C300 DC is a sleek, portable power station built for outdoor adventures, emergency backup, and on-the-go tech users. It delivers a solid mix of performance, portability, and modern connectivity. With its USB-C focused design and LiFePO₄ battery, it’s a reliable, forward-looking option for powering devices that don’t require traditional AC outlets.
Compact and lightweight at just 2.8 kg (6.17 lbs), the Solix C300 DC is perfect for those needing power without bulk. It uses high-efficiency LiFePO₄ battery technology, offering longer lifespan and better safety compared to traditional lithium-ion cells. Although it lacks AC output by design, it makes up for it with high-capacity USB-C ports and smart features.
One of the strongest advantages of the Anker Solix C300 DC is its emphasis on high-powered USB-C connectivity. With two bidirectional 140W USB-C ports and an additional 100W output, it’s well-equipped to handle demanding devices like laptops, drones, tablets, and even some gaming gear. This makes it particularly appealing for users who rely on fast-charging USB-C tech. The dual 140W input feature also significantly reduces downtime, allowing the device to recharge from zero to 80% in about an hour when using both ports simultaneously—an exceptional speed for a power station of this size.
Portability is another major benefit. Weighing just 2.8 kilograms, it’s remarkably lightweight and compact, especially for a unit with nearly 300Wh of capacity. Its built-in handle and sleek form factor make it easy to stow in a vehicle or backpack, ideal for camping, hiking, or mobile work setups. An integrated LED lantern adds practical value for nighttime use or emergencies, with adjustable brightness to suit different situations.
Despite its strengths, the Anker Solix C300 DC does come with some limitations. Most notably, it lacks any AC outlets. This design choice restricts its compatibility to USB and DC-powered devices, which may be a dealbreaker for users who need to run household appliances, power tools, or other equipment that relies on standard wall plugs. However, for those customers Anker offers the Solix C300, which is a bit large, but supports AC and DC outputs.
Additionally, the power station doesn’t include essential accessories such as a wall charger or solar panel. While this keeps the initial package compact and the cost lower, it does mean you’ll need to make additional purchases if you want to maximize charging options, particularly for solar input. Furthermore, before the first use, the unit must be activated using a USB-C charger capable of delivering at least 18W—something not everyone may have readily available.
Lastly, while the Anker Solix C300 DC is designed for portability and outdoor use, its ports lack protective covers. This makes them vulnerable to dust and moisture, which could be a concern in rugged or wet environments. Careful handling and possibly third-party port covers would be necessary to maintain its condition in harsher settings.

The BLUETTI EB3A is a small but highly capable portable power station that’s ideal for campers, weekend adventurers, and anyone looking for a reliable backup during power outages. Despite its compact size and affordable price point, it packs in features that are usually reserved for larger, more expensive models.
One of the EB3A’s standout strengths is its use of LiFePO₄ battery technology, which offers enhanced safety, longer lifespan (over 2,500 charge cycles), and better thermal stability than traditional lithium-ion. That means it runs cooler, lasts longer, and provides added peace of mind, especially in off-grid or emergency scenarios.
Another major selling point is the charging speed. BLUETTI equipped the EB3A with fast-charging capabilities that allow it to go from 0 to 80% in just about 30 minutes when plugged into a wall outlet. It can also handle dual input charging—solar and AC simultaneously—which is rare at this size.
In day-to-day use, the EB3A is refreshingly easy to manage. It’s lightweight at just over 4.5 kg, making it perfect for carrying around a campsite or tossing in a vehicle. It also connects to the BLUETTI app via Bluetooth, letting you monitor usage, control output, and view charging status remotely. That adds a layer of convenience not commonly found in entry-level models.
Here are the main specifications for quick reference:
Battery Capacity: 268Wh
Inverter Output: 600W (1,200W surge) pure sine wave
Battery Type: LiFePO₄ (2,500+ life cycles)
Weight: 10.14 lbs / 4.6 kg
Charging Time (AC): ~1 hour (fast charge mode)
Output Ports: 2× AC, 1× USB-C PD 100W, 2× USB-A, 1× car port, 2× DC5521, 1× wireless charging pad
Connectivity: Bluetooth app control
UPS Functionality: <20ms automatic switchover
As great as the EB3A is, it’s not without limitations. The most noticeable drawback is its fan noise, which can get fairly loud when charging or under heavy use. It’s also important to keep expectations realistic about power capacity. With 268Wh, this unit is best suited for running small devices like laptops, phones, LED lights, or routers. It’s not built to power high-wattage appliances for long periods. Additionally, while it offers a lot of value, solar panels are sold separately, and there’s no option to expand the battery with additional modules.
Overall, the BLUETTI EB3A is a very well-rounded portable power station that punches above its weight. It’s fast, smart, and built with durable battery chemistry that makes it a reliable choice for both outdoor use and emergency situations. If you’re looking for a compact, eco-friendly power source for small electronics, and you value features like app control and UPS protection, the EB3A is an excellent option in its class.
