Anker C3OO DC review

Anker released a few new power station in the last months, but one of the most intriguing ones for me personally is the C300 DC.
The Anker Solix C300 DC is a sleek, portable power station built for outdoor adventures, emergency backup, and on-the-go tech users. It delivers a solid mix of performance, portability, and modern connectivity. With its USB-C focused design and LiFePO₄ battery, it's a reliable, forward-looking option for powering devices that don’t require traditional AC outlets.
Compact and lightweight at just 2.8 kg (6.17 lbs), the Solix C300 DC is perfect for those needing power without bulk. It uses high-efficiency LiFePO₄ battery technology, offering longer lifespan and better safety compared to traditional lithium-ion cells. Although it lacks AC output, it makes up for it with high-capacity USB-C ports and smart features.
One of the strongest advantages of the Anker Solix C300 DC is its emphasis on high-powered USB-C connectivity. With two bidirectional 140W USB-C ports and an additional 100W output, it’s well-equipped to handle demanding devices like laptops, drones, tablets, and even some gaming gear. This makes it particularly appealing for users who rely on fast-charging USB-C tech. The dual 140W input feature also significantly reduces downtime, allowing the device to recharge from zero to 80% in about an hour when using both ports simultaneously—an exceptional speed for a power station of this size.
Portability is another major benefit. Weighing just 2.8 kilograms, it’s remarkably lightweight and compact, especially for a unit with nearly 300Wh of capacity. Its built-in handle and sleek form factor make it easy to stow in a vehicle or backpack, ideal for camping, hiking, or mobile work setups. An integrated LED lantern adds practical value for nighttime use or emergencies, with adjustable brightness to suit different situations.

Despite its strengths, the Solix C300 DC does come with some limitations. Most notably, it lacks any AC outlets. This design choice restricts its compatibility to USB and DC-powered devices, which may be a dealbreaker for users who need to run household appliances, power tools, or other equipment that relies on standard wall plugs. However, for those customers Anker offers the Solix C300, which is a bit large, but supports AC and DC outputs.
Additionally, the power station doesn’t include essential accessories such as a wall charger or solar panel. While this keeps the initial package compact and the cost lower, it does mean you’ll need to make additional purchases if you want to maximize charging options, particularly for solar input. Furthermore, before the first use, the unit must be activated using a USB-C charger capable of delivering at least 18W—something not everyone may have readily available.
Lastly, while the Solix C300 DC is designed for portability and outdoor use, its ports lack protective covers. This makes them vulnerable to dust and moisture, which could be a concern in rugged or wet environments. Careful handling and possibly third-party port covers would be necessary to maintain its condition in harsher settings.
